In joint efforts with Southeast Asian Resource Action Center (SEARAC) and its national Ensuring Our Healthy Future (EOHF) Campaign, HHC endeavors to educate the Southeast Asian American community about the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and to engage in the Healthcare Reform implementation process in California.

California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP)
Funded under the California Mental Health Service Act (MHSA), CRDP is a key statewide policy initiative to improve access, quality of care, and increase positive outcomes for racial, ethnic and cultural communities. Together with Pacific Clinics and 50 other organizations and groups, HHC works to identify culturally appropriate community-defined approaches toward reducing mental health disparities.
Health Career Connection (HCC) Paid Summer Internship Program
A 10 weeks comprehensive summer internship program through Health Career Connection for undergraduate students and recent graduates who are seeking to discover and achieve their health career goals, become effective health leaders and make a difference in organizations and communities. HHC and its partners’ provide hands on exposure, experience and mentoring to assist individuals to pursue careers in community healthcare.

Partners in Healing: Creating Lasting Systems Change in CA Health Care Systems
Together with Hmong families, local healthcare providers and hospitals in the Central Valley, HHC provides cross cultural sharing opportunities that influences and shapes system policies and procedures, ensuring quality healthcare access. HHC efforts have been specifically focused on language access and culturally competent systems.
