The Hmong Health Collaborative, along with SEARAC (Southeast Asia Resource Action Center), hosted a Medicare Parts A-D Eligibility and Enrollment Training on July 14, 2011 at The California Endowment’s Fresno office. Dickon Chan, Health Insurance Specialist from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service was invited to discuss about the eligibility, enrollment, and programs available in Medicare Parts A through D. This training fits under HHC's Building Resources Insuring Growth for a Healthy Tomorrow (BRIGHT) project that is aimed at increasing enrollment and access to health insurance for people through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Health Reform Law).

SACRAMENTO, Calif – Assemblymember Mike Eng (D-Monterey Park) will unveil the “The State of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Health in California” report on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10AM. The report was commissioned by Assemblymember Eng and the California Asian Pacific Islander Joint Legislative Caucus to provide a more accurate snapshot of the social context and health status of AANHPI with relation to other racial groups in California.
